Mr. Obama?

Several times today on Faux news I heard Correspondants call the President that. For 8 years it was President Bush. But Get a Dem in there and it's Mr. I remember hearing reporters call Clinton that. Sounds a little disrespectful don't you think? I always thought you were supposed to refer to the President as President_________ or Mr. President.

I've noticed this too, but I don't ever watch fox news. Several reporters seem to be getting it wrong.

I think it's a hangover from the unusually long election season where correspondents got so used to calling him "mr. obama" or the like. At least I hope that's all it is.

Yes its disrespectful. Yes, Faux news is probably the worst offender. However, during the inauguration someone from another network (think it was Ann Curry) kept calling him "Barak" which I found funny...ever hear them say "George" or "Bill" when they were president??

In the 1992 election campaign Bill Clinton never once referred to George Bush as Mr. President or President Bush.

I usually don't watch FOX either but since CNN and MSNBC have such a Prescrush on Obama, I need to spin back to center.

Mr.Bush?

I shall call him Mr. Obama only for a time period of the same length as the "mainstream" media called President Bush, Mr. Bush.

mega_shok.gifSo, did you write that date down? My point is people in the media should show some respect for the office no matter the person sitting behind the desk. It's one thing for teh average American to call him Mr. or Obama or whatever you want.
