Would you make this trade to move up into to second round?

I don't want Austin.

You didn't exactly want Newton either.

As much as people around here may value your opinion, the Panthers FO have different needs and wants at times. That is clear.

No but I'd trade this years 3rd and Steve Smith for a 6pm 2nd pick.

Honestly I'm tired of trading our future picks away. IMO we bite the bullet, pick what we have, and enter into next year with all of our picks for once.

The last time we wanted a second round pick it cost us the next year's first. That is the way it works. I don't want to pick up a second round talent at the price of a top 10 pick, but recent evidence suggest Hurney may not feel the same way.

Stephen Paea.

Definitely, Paea's stock went down a bit but he still is far more polished than Austin and is a better fit at DT. If we're gonna move into the second, it needs to be for Paea, I've wanted him for a while. I am interested to see what we do tonight.

Paea's highlights. Much better pick than Austin.
