Steve Smith almost considered retirement.

I suspect that if a team feels they are "one receiver away" from competing for a championship, we may see him moved. My general feeling here is that if he is moved, it'll likely be to a good team (where we can hopefully see him win) who will give us a good deal (so we can hopefully get some more value in the draft), which is good... and if he isn't moved, hopefully we'll all be surprised at the growth of the offense, Smitty included, and we'll get to see him stick around as a Panther for a bit more time

The act of consideration is a thought. You can't almost think. /logicnazi

I know for sure that the huddle has many people in the ,"Steve Smith has lost a step", "Trade him" camp.
I'd love 89 to make everyone who's said that look like a jack-ass this coming season.
The man says he can still run a 4.3 40. Wherever he ends up, i'll be watching, and rooting for him.
I Love Smitty. He wouldn't look good in anything other than our Carolina Blue and Black. I hope he will stay until he retires!! Hang in there Smitty!!!
