From what I read they could go on with things as planned even with the pending re-certification. Players are slated to vote tonight at 8pm

WRONG.

Just saw Chris Cooley, the Skins' player rep on NFLN just now when I got home and he said voting is very unlikely and unrealistic tonight... Said they MIGHT vote tomorrow, but not sure, depending on whether they like the deal or not.

Also, there's an issue about whether they even want to agree to it at all and be recognized as a union again.

Guess what? I'm willing to bet the owners approve it today, send it to the players and the players either stall it or reject it and we're back to square one.

Although Mike Lombardi did just say back in studio that he thinks the players ARE voting tonight because why else would they call the conference call.

So, could be the players and DSmith are just talking sh*t and keeping their game face on.

Then again, wtf does Lombardi know from his studio seat?

But Cooley sounded serious about it... He said it would be pretty stupid for them to vote on it immediately without hearing it over tonight and then sleeping on it and thinking about it at least. It really sounds like they know what the terms are and there's something they aren't happy about.

Just watched a video of DeMaurice Smith talking to the Press. His big thing was "Well, umm, we need to take recertification seriously. Umm, it was a big deal to decertify".

I want to stand right in front of this cock sucker and say:

#1. Your legal strategy was to decertify. We knew you would push for it for years. Don't say it was a big deal to the players. They were just doing what they were told was the best thing to do.

#2. You created this legal mess... you need to fix it. Have your people come together, motion the courts for a non-contested settlement and/or dismisal for your stupidity, and VOTE ON THE GOD DAMN DEAL.

#3. FAWK dude... can you say more than 3 complete sentences without saying "Umm" (which actually sounds more like "ahhhum")

I want to punch him in the mouth more than ever.

All you need to register is a name and e-mail address.

The Huddle could probably get that thing up to 1900 votes in <30 minutes. Lockout over. YW.
