anybody ever bought anything from this website? It is an electronics online store and I can get a 52 inch Sharp Aquos for about 1300 bucks, but I don't know how reputable it is. I haven't seen anything about payment plans so I don't know if you have to pay in full when you place the order or not.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No idea. I know they do the PayPal Pay Later thing. Newegg has a decent credit plan, though.

Tiger was actually one of the first sites to sell bunches of PC stuff back in the day. They are credible, as credible as newegg or pcconnection.

Newegg usually has the best prices, in my experience anyway. They have excellent customer service and quick shipping as well.

*EDIT -- I just looked and the price on Newegg is a little more expensive. Although, when you factor in Newegg's free shipping it's actually cheaper.

tiger also charges sales tax if you are NC. Newegg doesn't.

I've heard lots of horror stories related to Tiger Direct, especially where rebates are concerned. Newegg IMHO is a far better company. Tiger Direct has just over a 7 lifetime rating at Resellerratings.com, Newegg almost a perfect 10.

If you ever visit a site like Fat Wallet, Tiger Direct is held in very low regard. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals

Just my 2 cents.

I've only done two rebates with Tigerdirect, one for a PSU and one for a video card which I bought both at the same time. Both rebates were done by different companies but got them in the time they stated. Now Best Buy rebates...

Tiger is legit.

Never dealt with them directly, but talked with them at shows. They're overseas too.

I've never had an issue with Tiger Direct, they're generally very good on getting you the item. Customer service is mediocre but then again it is just about anywhere.
