By design, Newt will be the next to go down. Watch it happen.

Obama speaking in Kansas right now. Sounding more like '08 Obama than POTUS Obama. He's going to murder Newt in a debate setting next year.
is that a racist comment?

What the Republican nomination process has come down to.
Huntsman just accepted a Lincoln-Douglas style debate with Gingrich

I may actually watch this. If the race was non-media driven, Gingrich v. Romney v. Huntsman v. Paul would be the fatal fourway this country wants to see who can challenge Obama.
No Santorum, no Bachmann, no Trump, no Cain...oh almost forgot about that Perry guy.

Gingrich and Huntsman should be pretty good. Two smartest guys on the stage.

The Cain Gingrich debate that was in this style was pretty good except Cain just agreed most of the time. He was over his head.

I dont know why everyone insists Newt is so smart...if anything, i would translate that as his being better at cooking the books than anyone else. Oh well...at least we have his crashing and burning to look forwards to here shortly. His turn is next to get kicked off the 2012 GOP Reality Show...and good riddance to that, I know pretty much all politicians are scumbags, but Newt is up there amongst the scumbags of all scumbag politicians.

Newts been able to rise because he's done 2 things consistently rhetoric wise:
1 - Taking the "step back and let's take look" perspective that somehow wows the base when in reality half of the things he says will never happen even with a republican house and exc. branch
2 - Attacking the "liberal" media in debates
Those two very simple things along with some weird off-base nostalgia for the 90s has people clamoring to the guy.
What he does do well is drive conversation without harping about the same crap on and on like Bachmann, Perry, Cain, etc. He did that in the 90s but every time submitted to Clinton's grasp.
These few things along with his demeanor as the "helpful asshole" is getting him support on the middle and far right.
