Not familiar with Hitchens I take it?

The death tonight of Christopher Hitchens is an excruciating reminder of the consequences of unbelief. We can only pray others will believe.

The President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has some really interesting views on immortality.
The head of the Southern baptist convention believes in the tenets of his faith? I am shocked, shocked I tell you.

What tenet of the Christian faith proclaims eternal mortal life for believing in God?
I am an agnostic, so I don't really care, but the guy is basically saying he died without christ and is going to hell, and that its sad to die without christ. That is a basic tenet of the Christian faith and anyone who has even a basic understanding of Christianity will understand what he meant. Why point out something that it not a surprise anyway. Its akin to bringing up a democrat endorsing Obama for president.
John 11:25
