retard is somewhat offensive, but more of an insult. what I find to be really offensive is using a specific mental handicap as an insult. ie. autism, azbergers(sp), downs, etc.

What offends some is harmless to others. Just depends on the point of view. Some might completely explode and go ballistic when it hits close to home while someone else would be looking on wondering what the problem is.

Who knows who is right.

Werds......

Quit empowering then to fit in to your own lives and situations when they are not directed to you.

...and yes I spelled words werds...just as stupid as being offended by a huddle post...

It is the internet forum. Not a place to be if offended by werds.

Anyways, Favre ... Why does everyone got to try and take the old man out?

If that's what you're reading then you need some reading classes... no one said that that is ok... what we're saying is that there is a huge difference between players talking/betting/incentivising between themselves and coaches actively running a program that encourages players on other teams being injured.

There are many levels to dirtiness of the Saints* both players and coaches.

Everyone keeps saying "well, all teams do it..." and as I said, I'm sure in the past a lot of teams PLAYERS have probably done stuff like this, but the Saints* STAFF got busted doing it, kept doing it, lied about it, continued to lie about it and then denied it when confronted AGAIN about it... they deserve the punishment they got and probably deserve more.

I'm willing to bet that the NFL goes a lot easier on the players involved than they did on the coaches..

Obviously nothing would come of this now because it happend a more than a decade ago and theres probably not any evidence.

But if this was going on the past couple of years with the panthers and there was evidence you think the players would get off easy because "oh well least the coaches werent involved"

The only difference would be that the coaches wouldnt get suspended if they knew nothing about it. Dont think for a moment that theyd be let off the hook. Lying about it or what have you has nothing to do with it. Its about protecting the players and every single statement from goodell has confirmed that.

It would be hilarious if John Fox got suspended bc of a dumb Frank the fillerbuster Garcia rant on WFNZ.

Garcia was voted by players as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL back in the day..him and Rodney Harrison.
