The league is now into their third season and starting on week 3. Games this week start Thursday evening.

seems pretty complicated, what all do you manage on each team as the owner? players, drafts, contracts, stadium? scouting? I play hattrick which is a soccer sim so i have some experience but have never really found a good football sim...

Yes the players, drafts, contracts, and scouting are all manged by the owner. The cap system is point based not money based so you simply pick a stadium without worrying about the things that go into that.

Just keep up with the league each week so everyone can get to know you. I think there will be an opening after the season is over.
