You have to wonder what exactly is causing this many achilles injuries in the last year?

I'm glad we didn't draft him, I remember there being injury concerns with him during that years draft anyways. Still bad break for him.

Sucks for them. He seems like one of those players who'll alway be plagued by injuries.

Yeah, already had a bum knee. Always thought Bowers could be a beast in the NFL. Sucks.

He is an example of why the average NFL career is 2.5 years.

We could only dream bro... We can Only dream.

But they could go after Freeney... I believe they still have cap space... You'd have to think that they're gonna go after someone at this point. With all the moves they've already made, it seems as though they "think" it's their time.

Silly Bucs, NFC South is for Panthers!

That sucks for Bowers. Those damned Achilles tears must be painful as fug. I've torn mcl's, shoulders, even my arch. The Achilles tear has got to be the most painful.

Wonder if Buc fans are silly enough to blame their GM for picking him.... not that Panthers fans would EVER do that....

Maybe he deserves blame; they took a risk and it didn't pay off. Bowers had major injury red flags and they drafted him anyway- this is how teams get "steals".

Bowers was getting #1 overall talk before his knee issue was known.....Bucs grabbed him in the 2nd. Worth the risk where they grabbed him even of it was the knee that went out

I'm certain he signed a contract longer than one year when he was drafted.

Yea I would like to thing so. Bucs just drafted him last year in the first round. So I'm sure he got a 4 year contract like any rookie does..

Believe it was SorthNarolina who wanted to use the first overall pick on him last year.

Lol.
