Okay, so while all of my friends have been out participating in typical 4th of July events, I have been stuck running server tests for work. I volunteered, so I'm not complaining. However, I decided to finally watch more than 2.5 minutes of 'The Big Bang Theory' today by watching a full episode and part of another.

If you are a fan of the show, and show me a reason to give a slight smirk based on a scene you find funny, I will PIE you for an entire week after the fact.

Not even a laugh, I just need to find the joke funny enough to show positive emotion.

The laugh track or forced studio audience laughing is annoying.
I watched 2 seasons of it and It was alright. If it's on and there's nothing else on, I'll watch it.

Yea - I just don't think it is for me. The audience laughter is pretty distracting and I think Sheldon is acting more like what nerds used to be stereotyped as than what they are considered today.

Wasn't trying to knock the show, just trying to figure out if I was just watching bad episodes.

Penny is a big reason to watch. The nerds all add something I think, but she is the real draw, and for that reason she is front and center on the commercials for reruns when I see them.

Whenever I'm flipping channels I stop to see what Penny is wearing.

About 80% of the conversations and arguments they have on the show I've had with my friends and coworkers. Love the show.

I used to absolutely hate it, but my mom watches it and after seeing a few episodes with her, it's not as bad as I'd thought.

Still pretty bad, though. The writing is absolutely dreadful. Just completely freaking dreadful. But as it goes along you learn to ignore the terrible characters like the completely unfunny asshole dressed in 70s clothes who literally does nothing but sexually harass women.

A lot of their attempts at referencing 'geek culture' fail, like these supposed nerds and gamers using Macs and stuff like that, but I like Sheldon and every one in a while it'll be a pretty good episode.
