Was he outside or inside when these came about? It looks like a horsefly bite to me if he were outside, possibly an ant also. I know for myself and my kids, Benadryl is extremely helpful when we have come to a conclusion it's an insect, ant, spider, etc.

Showed a nurse practitioner friend of mine. She says looked like bites, nothing to worry about as long as there is no fever.

As long he he doesn't show other symptoms (fever, swellings, etc.) then it's probably not anything serious like a disease or an allergic reaction. It could be a mild allergic reaction to something. Worst case scenario, you might have bed begs or your kid might have found himself some body lice/mites.

could maybe be an allergic reaction. i have broken out in hives and they looked similar to that. sometimes they itched, sometimes they didn't.

Thanks for the help everyone.

He has cleared up now and I think it was mosquito bites.

When I was a little boy I would have gawd awful sores from it.

Thanks for all the help though!

Might be eczema. Which is a form of extreme dry skin. Rub some vaseline on it. I hope he heals/feels better soon.
