Lots of famous people have donated money or have visited people in the hospital. But good for Steve. Good press for him, and a kind gesture as a human being.

You're not paying attention. NBA players donate more to charity than any other athletes in the US. LeBron James is at the top of Parade Magazine's most generous athletes list.

James didn't even make the list you speak of. If you look a previous years it doesn't seem he has ever made the list.

He said most generous athlete list. What you linked to isn't an athlete list.

Wow I didn't realize there were that many strippers named Charity.

Thats the Giving Back Fund list, which doesnt include JUST ATHLETES.

Thats not the list I speak of.

^^^There's the list I speak of. As for yours, the 2.5 million LeBron raised for Boys & Girls in 2010 from "The Decision" would've put him top 5 on yours. And thats just 1 thing.

Ochocinco just posted about it on Facebook. That should give the story more coverage, and hopefully Steve will get more respect, like he deserves!!

So how to athletes make that list and not Lebron James? If he donated more, he would be ranked above them. It's not that difficult to understand is it?

What you linked isn't a ranking at all and Lebron did not donate that money....it came from the ad sales. The advertisers weren't buying ad space from Lebron James they were buying it from the network.

I have waaaay over estimated the intelligence here.....so carry on.

If you could read, you would see the GIving Back Fund list is for one donation. Its not a cumulative collection of athletes charities. It's not even from this year. LOL. If anybody is slow, its you.

Steve Smith reached in his pocket and donated the cash.

Some athletes will help raise money that is to be donated.

Both good deeds. Not exactly the same thing.

Say it slower, so his aptitude can digest it.
