USC's defense just isn't good enough. They are going to have to outscore them.

Lee didn't do a good job of turning into a DB there.

Any of you have Kent as your preseason BCS buster guess (or even 2 weeks ago)? If they beat NIU in the MAC title game and Stanford beats UCLA (Wisconsin beating Nebarska is likely to do the trick as well), the Flashes will be in the Top 16 and be ahead of whoever the least sucky Big East team is (Wisconsin too should they win the BTCCG)

The BCS computers rank Florida #2 and it's not even close. That saddens me.

On paper... Florida is by far the strongest SEC Team... They have wins over Texas A&M, South Carolina, LSU, and only loss was a close game to Georgia....

Georgia's quality win... only Florida,
Alabama's... Only LSU

It would be interesting to know who the committee in the 4 team playoff would have selected and how the teams would be seeded

I would assume the 4 teams would be
1) Notre Dame
2) SEC Champion
3/4 ??? I don't know If Kansas State win the big 12 probably them...
I don't know how they would feel about the 1 loss Oregon/Florida teams seeing as how they won't play for the CCG... so could a two loss Standford in the win the Pac 12 be higher?

This committee will have their work cut out for them in the future.

I'm sure the top 4 would have been

1) Notre Dame
2) SEC Champ
3) Florida
4) Oregon

Just my guess though.

I actually think Oregon would be left out Maybe even Florida....

I remember them saying "Conference champions will be strongly considered. A conference champion could get the nod over a better ranked non-champion."

So if Kansas St wins a tough Big 12 with only 1 loss I believe they would be solidly in... which would leave Georgia, Florida, Oregon and Stanford for the final spot... Stanford right now is ranked 8th, but with a win the could also be conference champions... Seeing as how SOS out side the conference is supposed to matter them playing ND, while also beating Oregon in conference I think they could get in....

My guess
Notre Dame vs Stanford
Alabama vs Kansas State

I'd honestly say there is no way the team with the hardest schedule and only one loss would be left out. I can't see how that would be possible.

Just going by what have been said... a lower ranked conference champion would get the nod over a higher ranked non conference champion.... I really think Conference champions are going to have a big effect unless the separation is so great... (Like if Oklahoma or UCLA won then they would be to far behind the non 1 loss non conference championship teams) ... I don't think this is just going to be an extension of the current BCS ranking system.
