Made a couple nice plays tonight. I've always liked the guy, hope he is able to secure the #2 TE spot.

i was sitting there in the third quarter (or was it fourth) thinking about how i was going to go home and make a thread on how barnidge hasn't really shown much in the preseason and how we should think about upgrading the position, maybe see if shockey will come back.

then he grabbed that pass and broke a tackle for a huge gain, snagged a touchdown pass on the same drive...

jury's still out.

He locked it up and put the key in Clausens underwear. No one is touching it.

I remember when the Fan Fest video of Barnidge scoring a TD hit...everyone crapped on him. It's now obvious he isn't a genius but he's not a slouch. There's a reason he's been here for now his 5th year.

His long catch was good but the double move he had was going to torch the saftey earlier on that drive. If he can stay healthy and make his blocks(1st Q missed block) he will be a good weapon.

The Tolbert at TE is a bit of hype as Tolbert seems avg as a pass catcher and to small a target for Cam.

His catching ability has never been a question, not for me anyway, it's been wether or not he can stay healthy. Wait.........that sounded a lot like Shockey.

He probably is going to be listed as the # 2 TE but thats not saying much. His blocking holds him back and I'm sure he and Hartstock will see a similar amount of snaps. Olsen and Shockey was def. a better combo.
