note Louis Murphy (18), who roamed through the secondary looking for someone to hit. Darrius Heyward-Bey (85), couldn’t contain his cornerback, so Murphy eventually ran completely across the field to finish the block.”

We all know what Smitty can do when engaged with a defender and Lafell has been known to make a few blocks in the running game. These are the types of things that need to happen to break open the big running plays which in turn can hopefully make it easier for Cam to light up secondaries.

Obviously one play doesn't mean that the guy is a great blocker but the fact that he's out there looking for ways to help not just the passing game has to be a good thing right? Just wondering whether you guys think that would have been a part of the decision process when acquiring him or just an added bonus?

Yep, Murphy involves himself in the play when he isn't targeted. Very willing blocker.

The Murphy trade was a rare trade that both team got what they wanted and no one got screwed.
