The Bucs really have improved a lot personnel wise. I'm a bit nervous.

A little nervous energy is good....I go into every game watching a complete nervous wreck thinking were gonna lose

I see Murphy flourishing in this offense and wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with better stats than LaFell.

I remember people taking up Naanee this time last season. Lets hold our horses people.

Murphy showed more in preseason than Legs had in his career. Legs was here only because he knew the system, now he's been discarded like the garbage he was.

Yeah, that legs argument doesn't hold water. One's clearly better than the other.

I think Olsen is definitely one of our biggest threats this year. With the heightened focus on tight ends in our offense since Chud took over and the fact that he's officially 'the guy' there now after letting Shockey go I expect 800 yards and 8 TDs atleast.

not your horses to hold, useless-ass pedobear foreskins fan. stop polluting the forum with your mesolithic IQ and cloying drivel. you add nothing to this community (just like the redskins add nothing to your carolina community.) you are a steaming turd in a punchbowl. do us all a favor and burn your keyboard and join a monastery where you will never be tempted to express your vapid opinions again.

oh and louis murphy is going to be a boss.

My my aren't we excited. I will refrain from the personal attack (as usual) and let the season play out to prove my point. Yet again.

In this Offense, Murphy does have a chance to shine. As Cam matures, his anticipation will only get better. Which will allow those alternate receivers a chance to flourish.

Once Cam's knowledge eclipses his talent. That is the time this Offense takes off. Not that it is not going to amaze in the mean time. Cam is still learning the why of the play. The how plays blend together with one leading to another.

Once the nuances are mastered. That will be the Cam that we are waiting for. And rivals fear.

Louis Murphy looks like a polished receiver. Naanee knew how to play the position, he just didn't have the talent to do so.

But I'm not at all surprised that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It's gotta be tough watching those redskin receivers every year.

I was curious about the rushing vs passing because I remember us going heavy on the run vs TB last year. Based on the stats (see below), it was actually fairly balanced, but they gave up a lot more on the ground in the second game. It'll be interesting to see what the approach is this time.

My personal hunch is the Panthers are going to try and ground and pound with a few deep balls to keep the defense honest (classic Air Coryell style). Murphy is a speedster, so he might have a role in stretching the defense, but I suspect we are going to be more focused on the ground game tomorrow.

Game 1 vs TB last year

35 Pass attempts for 232 yards (includes Legs pass to Newton)

39 Rushing attempts for 163 yards

Game 2 vs TB last year

29 Pass attempts for 171 yards

31 Rushing attempts for 270 yards
