The GIANTS

17 posts in this topic

Yes the Giants are the defending champions, and we knew it would be a difficult game to win. But, we feel like we are on the cusp, and would therefore have a good chance to win. We didn't just lose, we got dominated and embarrassed. We aren't even close to being a contender. We didn't learn anything new about how good they are, but more about how bad we really are.

the giants are the only team i can think of where it seems like their success is inversely proportional to the number of their usual starters that are playing.

the kiss of death was when all anybody could talk about was the giants' injuries and how they'd need a few nobodies to step up and how the panthers could take advantage of that. they've thrived under those circumstances like no other team.

Beason didn't even finish out the game with the rest of the troops.

You want to risk a Beason injury in slop time?

They are who we thought they were.

So we should crown their asses?

If a 12yr vet like Smitty can stay in the game and finish it out, well so can Beason.

If Smitty was coming off an ACL or Achilles he wouldn't have been in.
