If Rivera was fired, who'd you want?

This team lacks the talent on defense, especially on the line, and in the secondary. If Rivera never stands up and demands more talent to work with, he'll eventually be fired, and replaced with another yes man, while Marty lives to see another 10 years.

It's amazing what the guy saying some kind words about the Panthers as a commentator did for Gruden's image on this board. Makes you forget the 4-12 seasons and how the Panthers owned the Bucs for the majority of his tenure. (9-5 against him)

If they fired Rivera, do the Harbaughs have a third brother?

No, but Tom Crean is their brother-in-law.

Crean > Rivera

Sounds like you know both of us very well. But in any case, I want a HC that shows some emotional fire on the sidelines, you want what you want. I'm cool with that

i want results.

I don't feel a head coach that shows emotions on the sideline has any advantage over one whom doesn't.

I know as a grown man, having another grown man yell, scream, cuss, doesn't do anything to inspire me, or show me that he is a true leader of men.

This. Some old man screaming makes me far less likely to work hard for him. You guys have an overly romanticized movie notion of what coaches should be.

I'm simply looking at the types of coaches we've had. They all have a similar demeanor with much of the same results. I want different results, winning results. I feel that a lax coaching style leads to lax play. If the HC is on fire on the sideline then he's for darn sure to be on fire during practice and being a grown man, you should also know: You get what you put in by showing what you expect.

1- T.Dungy -Defense is built for his scheme and he will help the Maturity of Cam Newton

2- R.Ryan- great defensive coach

3- B. Cowher- great defensive coach , but we don't have personal to run his defense, Can help Cam become more like Roethlisberger

I see lots mention Rob Ryan but while I think he's a great defensive coordinator, I don't think he has the composure to be a HC. Maybe I'm wrong but to me he's better as a DC.
