Charles Johnson is just one of those players that can blow up one game, and completely disappear in the next.
Hardy just isn't the player we thought he'd be.
Keiser has showed potential, but they don't get him on the field until garbage time...
Alexander has been a steal, and has a very bright future with us.
Our DT's have played better than we thought, and I'm a firm believer in signing proven vet DT's in free agency, and grooming later round defensive tackles.
Montgomery could be a game changer on this defense.

He's going to kill it at the next level and is without a doubt who I want in the draft atm regardless of what happens with CJ. He needs to work on his run d a little bit but that's about it.
I think CJ is too inconsistent and has already shown us his ceiling. Correct me if you think I'm wrong but I'm just not a fan of chuck
I just think Montgomery is one of the ways to go if there's not a receiver in the 1st that's a glowing obvious pick for us. If we completely rebuild around Kuechly and Alexander on defense, Montgomery would be a tremendous addition.
Montgomery in the first, McDonald in the second

It really depends on how the new GM wants to address our other problem areas, but I would love the Montgomery pick. Alexander, Montgomery, and Kuechly would be an exceptional young core for our defense.

One thing I hope is that the new GM decides to build from the lines out. I don't think it can be made more apparent from the last two seasons no matter how good of running backs, linebackers, and athletic players you have at skill positions, you need maulers, graders, and psychos on your lines and Montgomery would be an ideal starting place with Alexander on d.

Another issue he may need to correct is his reaction time off the snap. Sometimes it can be a little late.

AJ is only a soph, but another player to watch for is Damontre Moore DE Texas A&Mbtw Anthony Johnson is a beast also but he likely won't come out

Montgomery in the first, McDonald in the second
This would definitely be the best two first picks we could make at this point in the season.
Lot's of things will change, but Montgomery is definitely a freak and McDonald is a proven NFL caliber safety.

I realize it doesn't mean much but I saw him mocked at 15 just the other day.

I like Mingo way better
So you like the prospect that is a 3-4 OLB compared to the DE better suited for the 4-3?

Imo, given how really only Kuechly, Norman, and Alexander are the for sure safe guys on the defense atm, we could go 3-4 with a new coach and this isn't just the annual "Let's go 3-4" talk coming out...if there is ever a more opportune time, it will be between the day this season ends (maybe sooner) and next year. With how things have gone down in a mere 6 games, you really can never say never in this league anymore

Yeah because Brown was definitely as talented and skilled coming out as Mingo is. Mingo is freakishly athletic, what an awful comparison. They said the same thing about Everette brown lol.
