When asked how he felt about his "demotion" heading into the Bears game, D Will had this to say. "I dont know what I did or what i've done to be demoted but we were talking the other day, and this is the first time that you get demoted and actually get more carries, so I'm actually happy with it. Because I got more carries and more playing time than I would have had I been a starter."

Translation.. This coaching staff is so inept they dont even know what the hell a demotion is. I didnt realize this until D Will brought this to my attention but despite Stewart being named the starter heading into the Bears game, D Will STILL ended up getting more touches. How will other players take this inept coaching staff seriously when a "demotion" just means more carries. What a joke Rivera is.

This is equal to a parent grounding their kids, but the kids get to stay out later than their usual curfew. Facepalm.

they intend to run the ball more, therefore he gets more touches...even as a backup.

He's good when he runs out of traditional sets like the I and Singleback. But he sucks when he runs out of the zone read, because everyone sucks out of the zone read at the NFL level.

Edit: Meant read-option (esp. out of the shotgun). Wrote zone read.

The thread is about DWill getting more carries than Stewart. Not about DWill getting more carries period.

People also fail to realize, or don't care, that Stew ran the zone read at Oregon, DLo didn't run it at Memphis so he has far less experience.

it can't be about that.

since coming out of the bye week, stewart has touched the ball 2.5x more than williams.

Stew had 17 carries to DLo's 11 against Chicago.
