Gabbert just sucks, basically.

On an off note, the only reason I am watching the game is to see what all the hoopla is surrounding Andrew Luck because I haven't ever seen the guy play.

I can't believe Terry Bradshaw was drooling all over his knob around draft time not long ago....

I honestly don't think Jimmy can really win a game or make a play down the field without putting his head down rolling all the way out to the sideline, then looking up and hoping someone is open...
However me saying Gabbert is better than Jimmy means nothing at all cause he's still garbage IMO.

Gabbert is one of those guys that might make a better coach than player.

I'm glad we didn't draft this dude. Could you imagine replacing Clausen with... another Clausen? *shudders*

Honestly, he didn't look all that bad... he's got an arm and he's relatively mobile... but he's scared. You can see it when he's in the pocket... a lot of that comes from getting pounded like a street wh-re last season I'm sure...
You can't fix scared, gotta have grit to play football on the National Football League. Example: David Carr.
Henne came in and actually got something going, too little too late though.

David Carr was poo but his pass protection was atrocious.

Nope. He played the same damn way when he was at Missouri. Anyone that so much as watched a few highlight tapes of him in college should have known that he panics like a little girl at the first sign of pressure. But some idiot still drafted him because he had all the measureables that the Kipers of the world drool over.

Exactly... which is why you need guys like Cam and Luck because they have confidence in the pocket and the ability to move around in the pocket and still make plays....
IF a QB needs a perfect pocket every time he drops back to be effective, well then he is not a franchise QB worth taking in the first round.
