Gantt thinks we will be destroyed

I was listening to the David Glenn show yesterday and Darin Gantt said he thinks that the Broncos are going to destroy us. The main reason being that John Fox really felt put out by Jerry Richardson when Richardson was reluctant to give Fox the money that Fox felt that he had earned (in the form of a new contract, of course). Gantt said in so many words that it wasn't a happy divorce, and that Fox is not gonna let up on the gas. He basically said that Fox probably will have the "I'll show him" attitude towards Richardson.

He also said that Hurney was a fall-guy that should not have been released mid-season because it solves nothing, and that Rivera is basically good as gone because that's what happens when new GMs take the reins.

Anyway, he did say "destroy".

He's probably right.

Pee Manning is no rookie or Jay cutler

luckily Fox can get his revenge while doing essentially nothing on the sideline except chewing gum and clapping

We will see. This game is a do or die for the rest of the yr. Not a good time to show up for a reunion, we're pissed...and playing like it. Have to think RR had this one circled as an important statement game for himself...this could swing our whole season around.

one man's opinion is one man's opinion and does not matter to anyone else or reality. I can say that my opinion is we'll win by 100 and it won't mean poo

Dear coach Rivera,

Would you like to start gaining some much needed brownie points with Mr. Richardson & your fan base? Beat John Fox's team so bad they are running for the airport on Sunday.

Like UDogg said, it's in Foxy's DNA to take his foot off the gas with as little as a seven point lead in the fourth. It's one of the reasons he's not here anymore.

I dont think it's going to be up to Fox. Manning is in full control of the offense. He will decide.

Of course one of Fox's biggest nut huggers would think that

The Giants destroyed us at home and I think that was the only time it will happen this season.

Since that time, the defense has improved a great deal and the offense has improved over the past 2 games not they they are using more sets from last season.

This will be a close game.

If anyone has reason to destroy this team its John Fox. I think he has a team that can do it as well.

I think the real matchups will be Mannings O against Riveras D, and Foxes D against whatever O Chud can manage to put up. It should make for an interesting game - at least I hope it is an interesting game and not another Giants type beat down.

If they destroy us it will not be anything Fox did

I don't buy into the coach with a vendetta thing. So what, is he going to game plan extra hard? Clap more vigorously? Is he going to make sure that he throws the challenge flag with a perfect spiral?

At the end of the day the 45 guys who put on pads on Sunday are going to be the deciding factor as to a win or a loss. John may want this win more than others but what can he really do to "show Jerry"? His best performance on Sunday will be virtually indistinguishable from about 20 other head coaches on that day.

True. Think Rivera isn't equally as motivated? You know JR circled this game back in training camp. Rivera fighting for his job too. Coaches can only do so much, up to the guys on the field.

If our pass rush holds to form Peyton will have a hard time getting rid of the ball.

more worried about Manning than the fact that Fox hates us...

this team has played very close games with Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago... very solid teams. I don't think its a stretch to say that we can give the Broncos all they can handle, and perhaps more.

The key to this game is passrush, but its not from the DEs. Its from the interior lineman. Manning is a statue, destroy the pocket! Also Peyton gets the ball off extremely fast. If the secondary can cover atleast 3 seconds, it'll help.

keep this in mind...gantt is no panthers fan. he's got connections with the team, but he's not a fan. never has been one.

when fox was here he could find very little good to say about him.

fox leaves and goes to the broncos and all of a sudden he's a fox fan. you follow his twitter feed and he knows it's a point of contention with panthers fans and he trolls. he's a prick and he's always been one.

i think he's bitter about getting tossed off the beat reporter gig and i wouldn't be a bit surprised if he's mad at JR and the organization for it.

gantt's kind of reliable for panther news, but he's also a sarcastic piss-ant skip bayless wannabe who wants the panthers to fail because he's got a grudge.

oh....and if you don't think that gantt is that petty, you haven't been paying attention to him or haven't been following him for long.

That about sums it up... he also has a chip on his shoulder about Armanti.

denver seems to be using fox in the best possible capacity-head cheerleader and "leader of men" or whatever cliche you want. his gameday responsibilities are probably limited (it's undeniably manning's offense and i'm sure del rio has almost full control of the defense) which is in marked contrast to the full veto power over every called play he had here.

elway is protecting fox from himself which was a smart move.
