there's literally no way any coordinator in the league would actually institutionally demand that the quarterback not be allowed to audible.

there are plenty of things to criticize chudzinski for without making new stuff up.

If you want any indication of the fact that the team is holding cam back from calling at the line, watch how late the offense gets to the line of scrimmage. Usually around 10 seconds on the play clock, hardly enough time to make a pre snap adjustment

Yes, built into certain plays is what he says. That means situational, but overall, no he can't audible.

yeah at one point i remember 8 men in the box and he still handed it to deangelo... it was pretty obvious at that point that cam isnt allowed to audible. chud has to go if no one else

Most on here have said that the coaching staff needs to change. This isn't college...develop the guy like a freakin professional QB or get out. Hope that JR heard that comment and finds it as ridiculous we do.

He directly said Cam can kill a play....and then call the 2nd play call that he has in his back pocket. That was in addition to the built in audibles to a specfific play.

That is an audible. He doesn't have freedom to make any audible he wants......but he can audible. It just has limitations.

I figured as much... I rarely see Cam audibling. No wonder he's getting killed and our O-line is getting worked over. He can't adjust protection schemes. They don't give him liberty to shift formations... I understand that having two plays to choose from is technically a form of audible, but WTF? If we can shift the formation and hit something bigger, or even fake someone out with a fake lineup and last minute formation shift to hit a big play, why don't we allow our QB to do it?! Isn't that where we want him to be eventually? Start giving the guy reps!
