Been Down Under a couple times- if I were to live anywhere in the world besides here.... Australia is the place. Flat rate tax (30% simple for everyone- last time I was there), socialized medicine, clean streets, no homeless people and great people.

Pretty much an isolationist country, they have very steep import fees on cars, boats, etc. allowing them to keep people employed by manufacturing a lot of stuff in country. You cannot just up and move there- they will not give you a permanent visa unless you have a job lined up.

And the women are very hot and they love American men!

You're right, they do have a progressive tax that looks to be 3-5% lower than it is here, with fewer deductions.

The corporate tax is a flat rate 30%.
