Why Cam Can't Call The Plays?

I don't understand why we can't put the plays on his arm like last year

I don't think he wore the plays on his wrist last year either.

He doesn't "call the play" because he's not Peyton Manning. No clue why he doesn't wear them on his wrist. Maybe he's just used to getting the call from the sideline and not having to look at his arm to translate it into the play.

Coaches wouldn't let him wear them on this wrist. Didn't want to hold back his development as a NFL QB. Go figure.

LaFell said on mac attack this morning that Cam CAN audible, but it is very limited. There are only two other plays for him to go to apparently.

I'm curious if the coaches don't trust Cam's ability to read the defense before the snap and that is why they limit what he can do. Or is the coaching staff fuging idiots.

I'm not ruling out the last one even if the first one is true.

The answer is yes and yes.

He didn't wear a wristband last year. Also, just because a QB wears a wristband doesn't mean they're calling the plays, it just allows the OC to call a numbered play over the headset rather than the full text.

Hey, I don't really trust Cam changing the play before the snap, so lets just base our entire offense on changing the play after the snap. That way Cam should have plenty of time to read the defense and change what he's doing before he gets sacked
