People realize benching a QB like Cam might as well be worse then letting him struggle during the game right? Right???

When has benching a guy, regardless of his personality, ever actually been beneficial?

Well as far as Carr goes, I think people place too much blame on his coaches.

People said Ryan Leaf had potential too, along with a laundry list of other quarterbacks. At the end of the day it's on that players shoulders to have the perseverance and desire to succeed. Without that, talent is irrelevant.

For Cam, as long as he gives us the best chance to win he should be our starter.

Leaf busted primarily because he was an utter a--hole.

Carr wasn't even taught to read defenses, just told to throw it to a spot.

Yes, Cam is our best chance to win, in a pretty much meaningless season.

What good does a better record this year do us if Newton gets hurt or ruined in the process?

I just don't like tanking the season for draft picks, we did it in 2010 and I barely made it through that embarrassment. He is going to take his lumps as a QB either way. If going through a tough season doesn't make him a stronger person/player and "ruins" him then we picked the wrong guy, and i don't believe that.

Nothing to do with tanking. I don't believe in tanking.

As to the other, I think I'll address that elsewhere.

I honestly think benching him is the best way to ruin him.

Well that horse was beaten to death long long ago. There are no remnants left of it whatsoever.

I don't think it's what you're thinking.
