You can get one of these for next to nothing.

Galaxy SIII was recently voted the top electronic gadget of 2012, over the iPhone 5. My wife has an SIII and loves it. I've messed around with it a little and its much better than my (2011) Razr.

I would say the iPhone, but if the 4 is the choice, go with the Droid.

iPhone updates can damn near kill older models. My 3G is almost unusable.

hey man, if you'd had a droid made in 08, it would be totally unusable.

just don't update your phone... i'm still running a jailbroken ios4 on my 4... works beautifully.

idk about totally unusable... they generally stop pushing upgrades to droid phones at a certain point. My X never got the upgrade to ICS because it couldn't handle it and as far as I know, my Rezound is not scheduled to upgrade to Jelly Bean. I don't think Apple does that... they update no mater what, no?

they phase them out eventually... but i have to say... imo for a 4 year old smartphone to be operating at all is more a sign of quality than a design flaw.

Yeah, I don't think that the hardware is designed to last that long on any of them.

The Lumia 920 is pretty incredible. I love it.

Read the industry reviews and then read customer reviews.

Pros: Nice sized screen, fast, never crashes, excellent battery life, excellent integration with social media, email, etc, & the best camera on the market (especially in low light conditions).

Cons: It's a little heavy.
