Never really understood why we cut this guy? its not like he was bad or even worse than what we already had at cb..... he kinda got the goodson treatment(we just dont like you) because he wasnt a in house guy in my opinion.

Because we suck. I don't see how that makes Butler good.

Perhaps he would've at least picked Quinn off.

I mean he did randomly give that one Huddler a TV when he played for us. Seemed like a pretty solid guy

Are we just going to pretend that he didn't suck in coverage here? Same with Robert McClain. The question isn't WHY we cut them, but rather why did we give up on them early. (While giving others endless time to rot on the team doing nothing)

I definitely believe he didn't get a fair amount of playing time. I had this guy as our number two corner behind Gamble, but he rarely saw the field. Now I'm not in the locker room, I don't see what's going on in practice. Perhaps Butler sucked in practice compared to Munnerlyn and the other guys, but on the field he looked a little better than Munny. Just going on the eye test, he should have been a starter.

Sometimes corners just function better in a new system. I don't know enough about Indy's D to know if they play more man or zone or if they're cover 2 or what.

And sometimes it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. It would be interesting to see how he rates at FO or PFF.

it was a horrible duck on a miscommunication. someone could have fallen out of a wheelchair and picked it off.

This. It was thrown DIRECTLY to him. He will never have an easier pick.
