I say keep him. I don't give a crap if he foams at the mouth or looks like he's in a coma on the sideline. The players seem to be buying what he's selling, the team has trended up and done it with makeshift players at way too many positions, and there seems to be passion in that locker room for a change. In my opinion he's earned another year.
Finally, someone that is using the brain god gave them. Now is not the time for change. This team is heading in the right direction. Lets not forget that Rivera took over a team with a losing attitude and it appears that had finally been removed and the team now believes.

The main reason I hesitate firing him is because of the progress the defense has made throughout the year. A couple more playmakers in the secondary and i think we can be a Seattle/49er level defense

Question: If we did bring in a new head coach do you think Rivera would consider coming back as Def coordinator/assistant head coach?

Not saying Rivera should stay, I'm indifferent, but we're playing much better ball this year than we did last year at this time.

It was actually 6-10 to 7-9. So technically we improved.
We definitely didn't improve from last season. I'd say we regressed.
