The Bills are reportedly sending people to Arizona to talk to Whisenhunt.

Funny bit from Ed Werder...

Apparently, a bunch of text messages are being sent to Norv Turner's cell number asking him how he'd feel about coaching Mark Sanchez.

Only problem? They're actually going to an old cell number that Norv Turner no longer has. The guy who just got the number says no, he's not interested in coaching Sanchez and he wishes the people texting him would stop asking

He should say "sure. Send me first class tickets for me & my wife under (his name) & throw in a few tickets to some shows, & a couple of fancy restaurants where you pick up the tab. Me & the wife will make a weekend out of it, & we can talk on Monday."

Then he could take pics & video of all the fun stuff, ending with Johnson & Ryan sputtering about him not being Norv. Put it on the net with the title, NY Jets: The Most Dumpstery Fire of All.

Doesn't exactly reflect well on the Jets does it?

My response would probably be something like "Sanchez? Are you kidding me? I wouldn't touch that guy with a ten foot clipboard!"

timring3TV: I am reporting the Cardinals are very close to a deal with Andy Reid to become the team's next head coach. #AZCardinals #Eagles #NFL

That'd put Smith and Whisenhunt in competition for the Bills job if it happens.

They also plan to talk with McCoy at some point this week as well.

Bears have asked permission to speak to Cowboys ST Coach Joe DeCamillis for their head coach opening. You might recall him as the guy who was hurt in that roof collapse at the Cowboy facilities a few years back.

DeCamillis and GM Phil Emery reportedly worked together some years ago in Atlanta.

Typical Panthers moves:

1. Brandon Beane retained as GM

2. Ron Rivera fired in about a week after legitimate HC (that some people would love over RR) like Ken Whisenhunt and Lovie Smith are gone.

3. Panthers hire some OC/DC that we've never heard of out of the blue.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's the direction that Emery goes in. I think it would piss a ton of Bears fans off though.

Hiring Ernie Accorsi was definitely not a "typical Panthers move".

That's one of the reasons why I'm encouraged that change may be on the horizon.

My big question there: If DeCamillis gets the head coaching job, what does he do with Dave Toub?

The smart thing would be to retain him, but I'd much rather see him set free so that maybe we could get him.

There were rumblings that Rivera wanted to try and get Toub before but couldn't get permission from the Bears since it would have been a lateral move.

Multiple sources now reporting Cards "very close" to a deal with Andy Reid.

He'd be reunited with Kevin Kolb if that's the case.

Wouldn't be a huge surprise if Michael Vick came available too

I knew it wouldn't be that hard for him to get a job. I'm really surprise Andy Reid passed on San Diego. At least he would have had a QB in Phillip Rivers.

I really have a feeling we are going to get Chip. I don't know why but I think Jerry is going to do something out of the franchise's norm.
