I can't remember if Godfrey was injured, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't.

If you look at their stats they're pretty even, but Charles never single handedly lost us games like Nakamura has. I've always thought Godfrey is a really solid player so I really don't get this. I really think that some of those late game touchdowns that cost us wins never would have happened if Godfrey was in the secondary.

Godfrey was the starting Strong Safety, Nakamura was brought in to solidify the Free Safety spot.

Luckily, Godfrey is versitile to switch mid season and let us evaluate Campbell at SS.

Nakamura didn't start over Godfrey.

Godfrey was our starting SS . He played FS to finish this year simply b/c he is athletic and we had little to work with.

Godfrey is a below average FS and a below average SS.

Godfrey has the physical tools however to be above average at either spot. But if ifs and buts were candy and nuts....
