we draft OL and you guys better plan on them looking like crap their first year or two because its incredibly rare for even the most elite players to not look like they are on roller skates their first year.

And this was obvious before you went to such drastic and lengthy measure to make sure people understood it was obvious. Every single Carolina Panther fan already knew this.

Funny, my little brother is a so called "Panther fan" and he didn't even know who Luke was.

Gross is old and has been regressing the past THREE years despite people being oblivious to it.

Already agreed. We need to go Oline FIRST. I saw we try and get the best possible after combines and all this and that. No WR worth a first rounder and we can get one in second. This is deeper draft at DT so think we can get one later too. Safety is also like WR, no one worth it until later rounds.

I want the best olineman available with first pick as of now. Cam absolutley thrives when given time and with our (Chuds) option style of play a solid oline is a must.

I think looking at the prospects for the next draft as a whole and conisdering needs as well as BPA the order should be : Oline, WR or DB, DT. Could change depending on combine/interviews but that is how I see it now.

Go back and rewatch the games, particularly Gross and you'll see he isn't the problem.

He's not what he once was, but we have bigger issues in the team and on the OL than Gross.

Still think Safety is a bigger need. One could make a pretty compelling photo essay of Nakamura, Martin and Campbell getting burned, missing tackles, and playing poorly in coverage.

The O-Line will be better next year with Kalil back and a 2nd or 4th round RG fighting for Hangartner's spot, plus another year of experience for Silatolu and Bell. The injuries to our interior line were kind of a freak thing this year, like injuries to our linebackers were last year, and doesn't warrant us neglecting our greatest need: a big physical skill-position free safety to close off the back end of our defense.

Nah playa. You gotta go with a vet safety and vet DT. High risk for bust with those positions and neither have to be all world to get the W.

You're still focused on performance. Taking into account how much he is going to be paid and the cap issue moving in on the team he is an issue.

Performance wise of course there is worse on our oline but the point is, that isn't saying much.

so let me ask you this....let's say the first round develops so that Star is still available

when we pick, you know, the strong pass rushing class, and teams reaching for QB's, etc...

do we pass on him to take an ot?

Then ask him to restructure or resign him to an extended, more cap friendly contract. Hangartner is our biggest problem from a performance vs pay perspective. He's a backup, a good and versitile one, but that's about it.

Star at this point is the best player applicable to the Panthers, meaning Jarvis Jones is the best, but we have a LB or two.

There's 1 stand out LT and he ain't dropping to 14. I'd take the top 4 DT's (Star, Hankins, Richardson and Jenkins) over the 2nd best OT in this class.

The success of this team next year will be directly related to who we pick up in free agency.

Can't built through the draft in one year.... We need men that can step up and fill the gaps we lack in our defense secondary, Oline, and Wide receiver. And given our history of not making a lot of free agent pick ups I wouldn't get our hopes up unless the new GM says something different

Disagree and we don't need to build through the draft in one year, we've been building all along.

Cam made a huge difference last season and Luke this season, why can't a rookie make a big impact?

It's not like we need to overhaul the roster.
