Dear media, please stop telling me Andrew Luck is good

He might be someday. But right now he is a bottom half of the NFL QB. He has a limpdick for an arm, isn't all that accurate, holds the ball too long at times, and makes horrible decisions.

Some of that can be chalked up to being a rookie. Especially holding the ball and decision making are two things that every rookie goes through. But some of his short comings worries me long term. He is the third best rookie QB in the NFL and bottom half overall.

And before you tell me his record; he played perhaps the easiest schedule in the history of the NFL, the Colts caught some breaks, and he plays in the AFC. You can't hold those things against him, buy don't tell me his W/L record means he did something special. If the Colts are in the NFC I doubt they get to .500.

And just to get another ball rolling, if Cam Newton had the same type game the media would be all over him, for Luck they are falling over themselves to make excuses on his behalf.

Agreed. He's got talent, but he's not much different than he was in college: a coddled gunslinger that gets credit for his football IQ based on God knows what.

I will say this also at the risk of getting in trouble. If Luck wins OROY over Russell and RG3 then KT can rest his case.

Luck barely avoided a couple of pick 6's today, and he looked pretty much like he's looked all year. Very inconsistent.

I still expect him to be very good when all is said and done. But the media built this guy up to be something more than he is. He is a rookie. A rookie with lots of potential, but a rookie nonetheless.

Again, I think he'll be fine, but it will take a little time. He is only human, in spite of what we may have been told.

The way he calls the snap count drives me wild. It's like he's straining with a bowel movement.

Shallow observation, I know.

Stating facts is not being butt hurt. He's overrated by the media. End of story.
