More changes to come? Possible

It's expected by most that Rob Chudzinski will take Scott Turner with him to Cleveland.

Worth noting though that Norv's son may not be the only guy who goes.

Chudzinski may well try to take some others with him. And if you're combining your thinking on that to the offensive side of the ball, think again. The Browns are going to need defensive staff too. Like many new head coaches, it's reasonable to expect Chudzinski may cast an eye toward his former employer.

The good news? The Panthers would have to grant permission for anyone Chudzinski wanted to interview. But with that said, Chudzinski amd Coach Ron Rivera are on good terms and the team has generally been willing to allow coaches to seek opportunities to advance. It's possible they may even allow guys to look into lateral moves as well.

And while we're focused on the flux caused by Chudzinski's departure, let's not forget the team already had three positions to fill before any of this happened. Four if you count Special teams Coach, and given that the team just interviewed Dave Toub, I'd say you should.

Yeesh

We all knew we were going into next season with a new GM, but outside of that I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us expected most everything else to remain relatively calm. Instead, this offseason is turning out to be wilder and more unpredictable than anyone expected.

And it's not over yet.

This offseason for us has been a busy start. I'm curious to see what's next in the pipeline. Things are surely getting interesting

We could wind up better off overall.

Reasonable to think we're already better at GM.

new OC could set this offense back. I'm even less confident in rivera than i was last week.

the goodwill in letting him interview and take our coaches should be lost when he knowingly left us without a replacement by pilfering norv

New OC could push us forward as well. Look at Atlanta, they kept their head coach but get a new OC/dc and now there are at the top of the NFC. This could be good. Curious to see who we bring in.

Possible, but improvement is possible as well.

We'll have a better idea once we see who gets the open jobs.

(and who else departs, and who replaces them, and...aaaahhh screw it, I'm going to bed)

I held my breath when I clicked this topic, hoping it wasn't a PT bi-polar rant. Instead it was an awesome well thought out Mr. Scot thread! Life is awesome sometimes!

This offseason has been very tumultuous, given how quiet everything was leading up to this week. New GM, fired assistants, OC gone to the browns. This is really an interesting time for us fans. I can't wait to see how it all pans out.

One final tidbit for the night.

Being reported that Chudzinski plans to have a 3-4 defense in Cleveland.

For the record, DB coach Steve Wilks would be familiar with a 3-4 system from the years Rivera ran one in San Diego.
