He was never the OC here under Fox.

Dan Henning was the OC when we went to the Super Bowl. Later on it was Jeff Davidson.

McCoy was only listed as an offensive assistant when we went to the Super Bowl. He didn't even become the QB coach until later, and even then it was considered in name only under Henning.

He didn't really take the full on duties of a quarterbacks coach till Jeff Davidson took over, and those weren't exactly Delhomme's best years.

The only thing he's remembered for here is that goofball barrel passing drill.

I'd say he's living off Peyton Manning's rep at the moment.

Off of Josh McDaniels to some extent too. McDaniels actually called the plays when he was head coach in Denver. Similar to how it was under Henning, McCoy had the OC title but not all the duties.

Not that I understand why but he has been discussed as a future head coach in certain circles for years.

I'm lukewarm on this. If he sends Pagano and the D staff walking then its #fireMcCoy right off the bat (if he landed Ray Horton as DC, I could forgive)
