Senior Bowl wants

I tend to agree but a lot of people said the same thing about LB last year.

A LB last year when we had 2 guys coming back from big injuries made a lot of sense in this case nothing is wrong with CJ or Hardy.

Hardy upcoming 14' fa, might be hard to resign him, plus Hardy only got one good year so far. Just playing the DA here.

Panthers cant let Hardy go whatsoever as long as he has an impact like he did this year. His play doesnt necessarily have to be based off how many sacks he gets.

If we drafted a DE in the 1st, I would freak the fug out.

If you think Greg Hardy's ceiling is a fringe pro bowler and Ansah's ceiling is Hall of Fame then you have to at least consider Ansah. If Hardy is a 11-13sack guy and Ansah is a 18sack guy you have to consider Ansah. Just imagine being able to rotate a line like that. Then if CJ hits the end of his deal we have the power to force an extension, restructure, or cut him for cap reasons.

I liked Trufant, Fisher, and Pugh. Some team is going to make Glennon a First round pick because teams get desperate for a franchise QB. I however rate him more like a 4th-6th round pick and would love to have him back up Cam. No, he can't run the read option and I don't want him to. I was impressed with some of the lineman there was a guard from Chapel Hill I liked.

As of right now I would love Fisher 1st round and Trufant 2nd round but there is still a long way to go. Fisher may not seem like the biggest need today but it's about building a franchise, not poking your finger into leaky holes.

Yeah I agree that you can't just discount the possibility of drafting a DE early. You gotta remember which team Gettleman is from and their formula for success.

lol if you thin Ansha makes it out the top 10

I'dbe surprised if he made it past the Jets.

Except when the Giants do that they don't have very many other hoes to fill.

    • I'd love it if someone could do a compare & contrast post on Corey Davis, Zay Jones, Ross and maybe one or two of the other top WR prospects, ranking them on Speed Route running / separation Hands (catch percentage) Durability Fit in our offense For me, Ross is off my board (at least in the 1st round) due to his knees / injury risk.  Davis seems promising but it's hard for me to imagine DG going with him at #8.  Seems like one of other players we are likely to have ranked higher (Thomas, Adams, Fournette, Howard) might be available at #8.  Barnett & Lattimore might be above Davis on our Board and have a pretty high chance of being there at #8... I don't watch much college football at all. (Have enough trouble watching NFL games here in West Africa)  Don't know enough about Zay Jones and any of the other potential round 2 WR prospects....
    • I think Panthers fans would lose their minds if we took Lattimore. But he would be a stud for sure and pairing him with JB24 would be nice.
