The right wanted to do voter id in some states and drug testing for welfare in others. That would have some increase.
But since armed guards is a bad idea we can shut down secret service right? Why even pay cops?
if money for a smart feasible solution is needed it will cost money. This whiny oh now you guys want big govt is petty and dumb and shows why nothing gets done.
Let's make it a right vs left instead of a practical vs expensive deal.

Most of us bitch about federal government spending, not state and local as much. This should be a local, possibly a state deal, but local would be smarter.
Let the counties worry about this one, and keep the federal governments paws off just a sliver of the school system.
Sometimes I wonder if you "well he did this" addicts can think clearly any more.

No one is arguing against it. We're just pointing out the screaming hypocrisy that shows what many of have been saying for years: conservatives don't hate government spending- they hate government spending on things they don't like.
Local vs. Federal
And personally I don't really like the idea, but it's much smarter to do this than to ban AR 15's.
Wonder if there will be less fights in the halls with an officer in there, less drugs, less gang related instances, less student on teacher violence?
Again, I don't love the idea, and I certainly hate the idea if it comes from the federal level. This should be handled by each state or county.

So wait, a handgun stopped the shooter?
He didnt need a 40 round magazine assault rifle?
Weird.
Are police going to turn their rifles in?

Why would they do that?
Are you telling me that they have a need for them?
