Makes Gross' contract look that much larger.

Quite a few LT's looking to hit the FA market this year, with quite a few names thrown in with them.
Makes Gross' contract look that much larger.
But there's a good reason that they'll hit the FA market and that their own team didn't want them.
Gross isn't going nowhere. He'll probably restructure.

Signing Brown would be awesome.

if we cut gross what would be the solution for the hole at LT...the additional hole on the OL because as it is RT needs to be upgraded more.Gross should be cut instead of Gamble.
Signing Brown would be awesome.
and there is very little chance that a rookie would be able to step in and not look horrible anywhere on the OL.

There is literally zero merit to this statement

Unless you draft a rookie in the top 10... they are gonna get abused on the line most likelyThere is literally zero merit to this statement

Also, Bills announced they won't tender RFA receiver Donald Jones.

and even then it very well could happen. among even the most elite OL taken early few come out of the gate looking good.Unless you draft a rookie in the top 10... they are gonna get abused on the line most likely

This makes absolutely no sense.Gross should be cut instead of Gamble.

Jammal Brown gave up 9 sacks in his last season with 2 false starts and a holding penalty

He missed all of last year with a hip injury.
Jordan Gross played every game last year and gave up 6 sacks with one false start and no holdings.

So, you know, probably not an upgrade.

It actually makes a lot of sense. Gross cap hit is larger, he's regressing faster, and there are many more options of which to replace him this offseason than there is CB. Only somebody deluded enough to think that we're fine at CB because of a few games played down the stretch from some UDFAs would think we're fine at CB without Gamble or another injection of serious talent at the position.
Not to mention he's a good ole boy Fox player and seems to hold our team back from growing personality wise but that's jmo.

We should probably just get both guys to restructure, as just straight out cutting them doesn't save us a tremendous amount of money. We'd just have to pay in free agency or use the draft for new starters.

No, it doesn't. It just makes problems worse on this team, ever think Gross' problems are due to the fact anyone they put next to him sucked? And he isn't regressing as bad as you think.
27. Carolina Panthers (9)
PB – 27th, RB – 23rd, PEN – 14th
Stud: As is often the case, it’s the ever reliable Jordan Gross (+16.4) who continues to get the job done, even if his performance in Week 17 was the worst we’ve ever seen from him. He may never be an elite tackle, but at least he’s more than a one-tricky pony.
Dud: There was a close competition but ultimately the inability of Geoff Hangartner (-14.5) to get any push in the run game meant he was the way to go.
Free agency doesn't always fix EVERYTHING. You have FA's that don't even work out, we could easily get someone worse than Gross. AS the saying goes "you never know what you have till its gone" and I think this team will experience just that if Gross were released.
