I don't think Clowney should quit or sue or whatever, but something should be done about the rules with the NCAA. Nerlens Noel agrees with me.

those rules are set by the NBA, NFL, etc.. not the NCAA...

I would think that since a cap is the way to achieve parity, allowing teams to essentially buy or trade for more cap space would undercut teams who either don't want to spend the money or feel they can't spend it due to financial issues.

Agreed.

Only exception I would see to this would be in a situation that a player is traded the team he is traded to can agree to take the cap hit on the prorated bonus money.

Is he serious?! Where did you read/hear that?? What a joke lol

He had an entire article written about it. About how Clowney should sit out and how instead of looking like a quitter he should flunk classes so he is ineligible. It was on PFT yesterday.

It's an interesting idea, but I think it would end up harming parity.

The NFL operates in very socialistic system, so i don't see this happening.

We send a team a player valued at say 3mil. They send us 3mil in cap space. They break even while we net 6mil in cap space. Sounds easy enough to me.

I said this a couple weeks ago but Clowney shouldn't play this year. He's not a brain surgeon. He probably can barely read.

Sit out, sign an agent, and get ready for the draft. Big things ahead for this dude in the NFL.

It sounds good in theory but in practice it would just encourage overpaying players.

Unfortunately PFT just might be worse than the garbage ESPN puts out... and that's saying a lot

Lol at the Clowney needing to sit out rumors. I would lose respect for him if he pulled that stunt. You know the risk you take when you step on the field regardless of his ability he's not special and he like every other athlete who hasn't been redshirted will play all 3 years first.
