I'm a Laker fan by no means but went to pay my respects to one of the greatest owners of all time. Dr. Jerry Buss died today at 80. RIP to a HOF legend, and condolences to the Buss family and the Laker family.

My office is a few blocks from Staples Center and I feel that there is some sort of cloud and silence draped over the city. A sad day for Lakers, Los Angeles, and the NBA in general.

Not something to really think about right now, but I just hope that Jim Buss can be half the owner that his father was.

A couple of friends and I took a trip to Vegas in '07 and ran into him at the MGM. He was very personable and probably talked with us for 10 minutes. Not a Lakers fan myself, but he seemed like a really good guy.
RIP Jerry.

RIP Dr. Buss... I hope Jim Buss & Jeanie can do half as well as you did. We were in the finals 48% of the time since you bought the team... That's amazing.
