Will the split media ever become whole again?

It seems like the media just keeps dividing further and further into right and left camps. Some of you on here have said that one radio show does a good job of balancing things (can't think of the name). Does it have a chance of winning more listeners, or are we doomed to having bipolar media coverage for the foreseeable future?

people don't want objective media. it hurts their brains. people want the two minutes hate.

I'd love a channel that presents both sides, not one side that's down the middle, because I'm not sure that exists any more.

NPR and PBS are as good as it gets imo.

To be perfectly honest, I'd rather they didn't. I think the competition is good.

If you want another off kilter analogy, WWE was better when they had WCW as competition. Since the demise of their top competitor, they've gone downhill.
