This is making me want to punch a puppy."This move brings the Panthers down to approximately $124.6M against the cap, meaning they still have a little bit of work left to get down to the league mandated $123M cap by March 12th. We should expect GM Dave Gettleman to make a few more moves like this in the near future, as they are the best way to trim small parts of the cap off because they allow the Panthers to maintain their roster for next season."
We are only 2 million over right now.

Person claims we are 6.6 mil over
Adam Shefter of ESPN says we are 5.6 mil over
PFT says we are 1.6 mil over.

Someone else said we used that money for incentives. I really wish we could get some insider input, but this is great news if it's true.PFT is accounting for the 3.6 million in carry over, nobody else is.

yep i thought it was 6.6 mil with the 8mil adam shefter reported this morning. this is still great being that i didnt expect an olsen restructure. i think with kalil and now olsen setting an example, dlo and beason will be willing to restructure
Posted 01 March 2013 - 12:47 PM
You do realize that the Kalil and Olsen restrucuture just put more guaranteed money in their pockets. A restrucuture has to be a win-win for both parties, unless your a bubble player like Nakumara where the panthers were the only winners.
