IDK, I was just blown away that a guy like DRC went for a one-year deal and despite his shortcomings, he's still considered a top-tier guy. And we have yet to do anything of significance aside from purging our already troubled defense of quality players.

People are don't mind Gross not restructuring and are okay with Gamble being released. My guess is, if Gross was playing for ATL, he already would've been released if they had a options like Campbell behind him and the draft to choose from - just as they did with Abraham, Robinson, and Turner.

Saints just signed another CB. They don't have money. Stop being such a chicken little.

Hey Bro Rogan - u said I was "over reacting" in the other thread, lets say Asamough heads to NO, and Revis to the Bucs, I'll give you any draft you want and any reasonable/realistic panther FA signing.

Do you think the panthers can truly compete for an NFCSOUTH crown next year?

EDIT- open question to all btw

Until I see and experience otherwise, I will have faith in Gettleman and his strategic view and not react like prepubescent girls about tactical choices. If people didn't realize there would be some pain in the present for long term viability, I don't know what to say.

the falcons have absolutely nobody at defensive end now and no first round pick.

e: scratch that they do have a first round pick but they won't be able to replace abraham's production with anyone in the draft and their depth at that spot is still awful

U gotta have faith in the guy he's been on the job a couple months. It took some fans around here 7 years to realize Marty didn't know what the hell was going on.

So what exactly qualifies as the present to you because it seems a whole lot to me like this is the same line we've been fed for five years now

That's the problem. Our offense IS our strength and all the rival teams are setting themselves up to contain it/shut it down. Meanwhile, our defense was our weaker unit, and all we have done since the offseason started was purge it. But, magically, we will be better than everyone else next season because we're us and they're not.

"Spending all that money won't get you out of last place, but it will still get you 2-0 against us Bucs herpderp"

"Falcons can't replace fatass turner now. gonzo gonna retire! Superbowl! Division is ours!herpderp"

I don't understand I thought you had to pick whether you wanted to participate in free agency or the draft I didn't know you had the option to do both

what sorcery

I guess our entire draft is going to the defense, which is probably going to be ish, but hell...we can score 40 a game with this offense.

Bierman isn't a bad player and I'd much rather have the rest of the offseason to pickup a DE through FA or the draft to plug in (hello Freeney), rather than be us and have the rest of the offseason to have to pickup corners, safeties, defensive tackles, wide receivers, offensive linemen, and linebacker depth.
