I need recommendations for a place to stay in Raleigh, NC

I will be traveling through Raleigh each month. I need recommendations for a place to stay in a hotel.

Things to know:
I only stay in Marriott Hotels
I like lots of dining options that are easy to access from the hotel (either by walking, or a short drive).
I need a place that is centralized in the city, where I can access major highways, etc...

Thanks in advance!

Hope that you have fun in NC! My late grandparents and some family members used to live there. Have fun!

Downtown...lot of food options. Catch the R to any other areas for great restaurants. 5 minutes from I-40. Others are on the north side of the beltline, which means you have to go east or west about 10-15 minutes to get back to I-40

Hard to say...the Triangle town center one is near the new mall, but there is some issues with the area the more you head into town (minicity area).

The other is near Duke Raleigh hospital and near North Hills mall and closer to downtown to get to lots of better restaurants, BUT it's near the beltline. Don't know how old it is and how that one is. You're right at the inner beltline and can get to most anything fast. The other is on the outer beltline area and while nice right at the mall...that's about it.

I'd say a lean to the one off Wake Forest Rd, but not by much.

I don't really worry about safety, but if you are...

Only areas of concern should be near Wake Med area and into town from there...and around the Moore Union Square area and heading south/southeast from there. You'll notice there are some issues around Triangle Town center mall/minicity area that I warned you about.

Extra room in my apartment...

But seriously, if you can't do the downtown one, go for the North Raleigh one. Nice/rich area.

Stay in Charlotte and drive. Raleigh sucks.

With those parameters it sounds like you narrowed it down yourself so why ask us?

I only stay in Hiltons, but when I go to Raleigh to see a show at the RedHat Amphitheater downtown, I stay at the Hyatt.
