What Gettlemen is trying to do is not to incure any dead money with Hurney crazy contracts. He can either stretch Hurney's mess for 3-5 years or he can take a hit now an clear it within next 2 years. He choose to take a hit now and I don't blame him for this. If you had an option of 2 years of Cap Hell or 5 years? Which one would you pick?
Ding...ding...ding....we have a winner

Maybe you should try a little harder at understanding the cap, restructuring, and economics and less time trying not to lash out at those who do.
Restructuring a bad contract for an aging player does nothing but kick the can down the road and make the future situation even worse. Your reaction is nothing more than wanting instant gratification....without caring about or understanding the cost.
Gettleman took this job for the long haul. He realizes that we will need to make some tough decisions for the eventual health of this team.
Accept this or.......go become a Washinton Redskins fan.

Restructure is actually more beneficial to players because they agreed to get their money upfront.
Let's say u earn $40,000 salary. Like $1,600 biweekly. Your employer asks u if u can take a bonus of $20,000 so he can pay you only $800 a month.
and take a $10,000 paycut?
