good point, it's a lot easier to justify your unfettered access to killing machines for recreation when you don't have to consider real-world consequences like dead children

Thank god our forefathers didn't have those killing machines when they fought the British... oh wait...

The constitution is not there to make you and your children safe, it is there to keep the .gov from stealing our freedoms. Its too bad the politicians don't give a sh*t about it and just do what they want.

Many more children die every year in swimming pools, but you sure as sh*t don't post on the huddle about those....

Sorry to inform you but the US military could revert to weapons from WWII and give the citizenry access to the most powerful weapons commercially available today and the military would be able to quell any uprising in just a few weeks. It is incredibly delusional to think that citizens could stand against the full might of the miltary. When you factor in aircraft, tanks, artillery. Thats why there is the Posse Comitatus act. The "militia" idea is there to protect against invasion from outside forces or inter-fighting between the states. Anything else is just a pipe dream. The only thing that citizen owned Assault weapons have ever been a threat to is other citizens and slow moving deer.

Real hunters use bows, and bolt action.

Our military is comprised of our brothers and sisters, fathers mothers aunts uncles cousins and best friends. I am not worried about them as much as I am with our gov making moves with foriegn factions. Like nato and the un. Read up on the un's weapons treaty and how our senate and pres seem to think that could be the law of our land. Then it wouldn't be up to our before mentioned relatives to enforce. It would be the responsibility of nato and the un.

Those scary assault weapons are only good against slow deer don't cha know, thats why the gov is so scared of us owning them dont cha know...

There is a reason the gov doesn't want us with semi auto rifles it pretty easy to see why..
