Interestingly, the best year for the Panthers was 1996, they had 8 total.

I wonder if the NFL voted differently back then....

I got to watch him when I was a little boy. He is literally my favorite returner all time. I wonder if he showed Smitty a thing or two on returning. Though I'm not sure if they were ever on the same roster together.

I was really young and I didn't pay attention back then so no.

I did, I'm old. Special teams was a given with the Panther for a long time :(

I'm 29 and have watched the panthers since their inception and Bates was def. a threat to take it to the house every time. We also had "rocket" raighib Ismail who was also fun to watch as he quick as hell too.

Last time we had no pro bowlers we went 12-4 and were the number 2 seed in the playoffs the next year. Coincidence?
