I agree. And I think you're arguing my point, which is kinda hilarious. I'm saying that we're banking on a front 4 to be dominant. That's not something that the Giants came up with. Hell, look at the Purple People Eaters, etc. That's a philosophy that predates anything Gettleman has or hasn't done.

I'm saying this, though. We keep heaping credit onto Gettleman like he was the one who built that team from the ground up in New York. That's not the case at all. That same philosophy has been in place since Phill Simms won Super Bowls there. It finally came back together once the team could establish another QB.

My whole post was to never argue about who came up with the philosophy, i just know it works and that showed for us last year. I could careless who came up with it but whatever.

Been saying this for a while now, when Gettleman said the pieces were usually already on your team he was talking about secondary.

They like Norman and Thomas at one of the corner spots, Drayton at the other one, Dj Moore or Captain at the Nickel spot with Godfrey and Campbell at the safety spots. They also feel like they have good depth with Moore, Dockery, Mitchell and Jones.

If this was the only thread you read. You would think we are doomed.

I'm extremely worried about our S position. I have 0 fate in it.

2 things.

1) pass rush trumps secondary
2) better to get free agents in the secondary. Better value moneywise.

We have held our own against qbs in the div. The team has given up 12 4th qrtr leads the last 2 yrs. Most in the NFL. Just tweak some and get a very solid db in FA.

i'm glad the Huddle isn't the Panthers GM. we'd be drafting on Jerry Jones level of stupidity every year
