Great news we get to keep d will a world class rb and save a good bit of cap, if beason restructures this will be a epic off-season.

Some hard math going on there. Did he take a pay cut, or is the reduced money turned into workout bonus and the longer term garanteed?

Excellent news, I wonder what incentive was used to leverage, because with how his contract was he didn't have to do anything and still get paid

DWill is a stand up guy.  Something most of us already knew.  We have a team full of unselfish players that truly just want to win.  This could be a sign of something special.  Now lets not waste his measure of good faith and go out there and win something!

Yeah, poor scheme and blocking are on DLo, the guy who had a 5.0 ypc coming into last season.

Saves 3.2 million this and next season..Gettle Magic!!

Also another win is we do not have to rid ourselves of a veteran playmaker..just hope Deangelo comes ready to play by week 1 instead of week 6.

Good deal.

We've adjusted his pay, now hopefully Shula can revert the offense back to a style that fits Williams and he can return to the type of runner he has shown he can be.

We bigger worries than a Greg Hardy extension....with hopefully a better front 7 this year hopefully it means Hardy does less and we gain some leverage in talks

This has been an awesome offseason.  Beason will not restructure and Gettleman should not ask him to do it.  If he falls flat this year, you can cut him or trade him and save more money.

The addition of Star and Short will break all hell loose for Hardy if you ask me.

This has been a pretty good off-season. Hopefully another FA for the secondary and OL with the freed up money.

Great move.

Can't say i agree that a late round draft pick have any influence on it at all.

Maybe in a perfect world. Which there us no such thing.

That, or with others drawing more attention Hardy goes off for 15+ sacks and demands Charles Johnson money.

Very good news indeed!!!

Anyone else think that when Gettleman said Deangelo was on the roster "right now" it was more a leverage play to get this done?

agreed only if he was considering staying around would he restructure but if he falls flat unfortunately he will be good as gone next season.  I think we have one more splash left to make in the off season who knows
